This Week's Update (Week Twelve)
This week has once again been really busy with work however I've tried to up the ante with the exercise. I've done two intense training sessions this week, plus 2 sets of weight sessions and walked 12k. I've also been using my new VR toy (Oculus Quest 2) as a form of exercise. There's one game in particular, Thrill of the Fight (a boxing game), which is so realistic that after three rounds you feel like you've been in a real fight and you need a shower!
On the diet side I've remained strict with my food intake but have had the occasional lapse in willpower this week with alcohol. There's something about this time of year, with the decreasing hours of sunlight and run-up to the Xmas festivities that makes a glass of wine or two even more inviting after a long day's work.
This Week's Results (Week Twelve)

So this week I've weighed in at 12 stone 5 pounds meaning that I've lost a further 2 pounds this week. That is now 1 stone and 7 pounds in total since I started (apologies again for the photo of my Fred Flinstone feet).
This means that I now have 7 pounds (half a stone) to lose in the final week to hit my two stone target. Let's be honest unless I go on a professional boxer style cut-day, or I lose one of my limbs, this target seems unlikely... but with just one week remaining I will give it my best to lose as much as possible and see where I end up!
Even if I don't hit the 2 stone mark I was aiming for, I'm immensely proud of managing to lose a stone and a half over the last 12 weeks when stuck at home in lockdown just yards from a fridge full of temptation.
Donations for a Good Cause
In a shameless plug I'm also doing this to raise money for a good cause, Mental Health UK. If you'd like to offer a small donation all money will go directly to Mental Health UK and I would be eternally grateful. The link to my JustGiving page is below:
