Background

You can read all about the background to my weight-loss challenge from my previous blog however the short summary is that I'm trying to lose two stone in 13 weeks starting on 14th September and ending with the final weigh-in on 14th December. My starting weight on 14th September was 13 stone 12 pounds and progress so far is as follows:

- End of Week 1: 13 Stone 7.5 Pounds

- End of Week 2: 13 Stone 5.5 Pounds

- End of Week 3: 13 Stone 5 Pounds

- End of Week 4: 13 Stone 2.5 Pounds

- End of Week 5: 13 Stone 0.5 Pounds

- End of Week 6: 12 Stone 11.5 Pounds

- End of Week 7: No weigh-in (Half-term week with my kids)

- End of Week 8: 12 Stone 12 Pounds

- End of Week 9: 12 Stone 10 Pounds

- End of Week 10: 12 Stone 7.5 Pounds

- End of Week 11: 12 Stone 7 Pounds

- End of Week 12: 12 Stone 5 Pounds

This Week's Update (Week Thirteen)

This week's update is practically identical to last week. Intense exercise, good calorie control with my food, however with the inevitable Xmas festivities I've succumbed to the temptation of consuming too many calories in the form of lovely, taste-alicious, scrumptulescent, alcohol.

This Week's Results (Week Thirteen)

So this week I've weighed in at 12 stone 3 pounds meaning that I've lost a further 2 pounds this week. That is now 1 stone and 9 pounds in total (apologies again for the photo of my Fred Flinstone feet).

This means that I fell 5 pounds short of my target of losing two stone in 13 weeks, however I'm still immensely proud of what I've achieved especially while under covid-related lockdown meaning I'm usually just a short walk away from a fridge full of temptation.

To put this into context the picture on the left below is me part-way through the challenge (sadly I wasn't clever enough to take a 'before' picture) and the picture on the right is me this morning after my final weigh-in, there's quite a difference.

I'm still about a stone above my best fighting weight, but that was so long ago that I even had hair on my head!

For now I'm going to really enjoy Xmas and then in the new year I will start my mission again to get myself fitter and leaner.

Donations for a Good Cause

In a shameless plug I also did this challenge to raise money for a good cause, Mental Health UK. If you'd like to offer a small donation all money will go directly to Mental Health UK and I would be eternally grateful. The link to my JustGiving page is below:
